Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and there's just something so festive and cozy about this time of year, no matter where you live. Nothing makes me more excited for the fall season than pumpkins! Every year, I make my own homemade pumpkin patch in my tiny backyard.
I know it's only September and back in Florida we're having 96-degree weather, but holding onto the autumn spirit is what keeps the warm weathered places and people going. It gives us a little pop of hope in between hurricanes and humidity.
Meanwhile, back in Rhode Island, the temperature has dropped down to like 50-degrees, just as we're about to head home in a couple days. I wish we could take the sweater weather with us!
When I get back, it's going to be a busy season of life. My oldest daughter, Angel, is going to have her baby due just before Halloween. We've got family get-togethers planned, houses to decorate, and a baby shower for Christmas time planned after Baby Genevieve is born. Yes, my little Angel Cakes, as I like to call her, is having a little girl!
So, needless to say, it's going to be a whirlwind of activity for the autumnal equinox and beyond! The good news is that it's all heartwarming and memory-making activities for the whole family to enjoy!
3-Ways to Usher in the Fall Season With Warm Drinks, Pumpkin Flat Lays, and Cozy Things
Whether you're a blogger or just love fall (who doesn't?), you can welcome in the upcoming autumnal equinox with some warm and cozy posts. You just need to grab a coat and a camera and get ready to snap pictures of things!Plus, nothing says fall more than hot drinks like apple cider or this sweater weather tea list. I'm a big fan of natural remedies to warm you up and make you feel all cozy on the inside. I'm a big believer in a pumpkin-spiced latte too, but I'm working to find or create the vegan version of it!
I find it's fun to repurpose the fall traditions I make. For example, when I make my Hot Cinnamon and Nutmeg Tea, I read my tea leaves afterward. Have you ever tried?
Whatever tea herbs are left in your mug afterward, you can read the leaves as a method of fortune-telling. If the leaves are splashed to the side of the cup that indicates a yes answer. If the leaves make a shape, such as a heart, then that's a symbol as an answer to your question. If all the leaves stay at the bottom of your teacup, that indicates a hard no to whatever you were asking. Give it a try. It's fun!
Other times, I repurpose my flat lays, which you'll be reading about in just a moment. You can usher in the autumn leaves of fall by creating nature art flat lays with pumpkins and fall-colored flowers. You can then reuse those same flowers for another photoshoot or a DIY with flowers. It's good to get the most use out of everything, even natural materials found in nature!
Without further ado, let's jump into fall with some warm and cozy things that'll make fall just a little bit more fun and interesting. It's good to get the creative juices flowing while making the seasonal shift!

Have you ever experimented with lomo art photography? It's actually really fun! It lends a dark, mysterious vintage appeal to your pictures with the polaroid framed edges and muted colors. It cast a shadow light into otherwise bright still life photos while increasing the depth of the darkness. Perfect for fall and Halloween, I'd say!Three: Fall Inspiration + Warm, Cozy Vibes For Halloween
