Homespun Magic: My Plans For Returning to My Florida Lifestyle

I might sound like a broken record, but in a couple more days, we'll be getting on the road and returning to Florida from our summer vacation in New England.  With that, comes homespun magic and my plans for returning to my Florida lifestyle!

I have a lot of plans and goals for when I get back that I want to go ahead and share with you today.  One of the biggest undertakings is that I'm looking for a new house in the tiny, seaside fishing village that I live in.  I want to put that intention out into the universe!

There's nothing wrong with the apartment that I live in.  I'm just looking for something more permanent.  Living in a small, minimalistic apartment has its perks, but there aren't a lot of updates to be made.  I want to live somewhere that I can wallpaper, paint, string fairy lights, whatever.

I'm looking for a tiny home with an open floor plan by the sea.  Right now, I live a hop, skip, and a jump from the sea, so an ocean view is really important to me.  Beyond that, I just want enough space to enjoy outdoor get-togethers with the family.

I feel like it's time to start looking for my dream home with fairy lights!  It's something that I've been thinking about for a long time, but I've always been a renter, not a homeowner, so this all new for me.

I have a picture in my mind for what I want.  You can read about how to create a Hygge Style Housewarming Party With Archangel Jophiel and Goddess Vesta to learn how to manifest your own dream home!

I really want a Florida room full of houseplants and a swimming pool in the backyard, because let's face it, Florida summers are sweltering hot.  I don't plan on taking another summer vacation in Rhode Island, so I need a way to cool off and endure summer by the pool.

I can just picture myself in my quirky, updated kitchen drinking from my houseplant coffee mug every morning, watching the sunrise over the ocean, as I write my letters to the universe, along with my morning affirmations and gratitude list.  This is homespun magic at its best.

It's the kind of magic that becomes the new normal for you, so when I visualize manifesting my dream home, I see myself sipping my black coffee while I slip into my normal morning routine.

What I've learned is that the best way to manifest what you want is to make it become normal to you.  When something is ordinary and mundane to you, you lose your desire for it, therefore telling the universe that you already have it.  It's that simple!

The most important thing to me is that I stay in small-town Florida.  It took me forever in a day to find the perfect place for me and Ozona, Florida is where I'm most happy and comfortable.  I love everything about small-town life.

Even though I'm looking to move into a new place, I have other fall goals to set when I return to my Florida living lifestyle.  Let's talk about personal goals and business goals for the next chapter of my life!

Homespun Magic: My Plans For Returning to My Florida Lifestyle

When I get back to Florida, I'm starting an entirely new chapter in my life.  I know this because a lot has changed over the summer months.  I've changed quite a bit and that's something I want to keep working on copiously.

You can read, "Summer Magic: A Journal of a Seasonal Shift in My Life" to learn about some of the changes I've made.  Maybe it will inspire you to keep a seasonal journal to celebrate the changing seasons of your life too!

When I get back home, I've decided to clear my schedule in the morning.  I've really gotten my morning routine down pat while vacationing in the New England area.  However, I've allowed a lot of distractions in the morning that have interfered with my plans to do yoga.

My spiritual routine in the morning is en pointe and perfect in every way.  When it comes to yoga, I've fallen out of alignment.  I started talking on the phone with my oldest daughter early in the morning after her night shift as a nurse.

While there's nothing wrong with that, I've since come to realize that I was using it as a distraction to procrastinate on my yoga practice.  Moving forward, I've got to protect my morning rituals and routines and hold them as sacred.

As much as I love gabbing on the phone with one of my best friends, I've got to make both yoga and spirituality, which go hand-in-hand, my number one priority.  The first step is self-awareness!

I've also decided to make a pact with myself because I know myself better than anyone.  I'm going to devote my life to my vinyasa flow yoga routine by doing yoga every single day.  This means rain or shine!

It doesn't have to be all or nothing.  In other words, when I have my moon or I'm sick, I can take it light with some gentle, restorative yoga or a slower hatha yoga routine.  It doesn't matter as long as I do something every single day.  That's my promise to myself.

What I've come to learn is that I'm just one of those people that can't skip days.  It only takes one day off to trip me up.  I always go back to my routine at the end of the day, but it's twice as hard to get back into it and I'm just over the back and forth routine.

It's good to know those dark, little secrets about ourselves.  If we're aware of something that needs to change within ourselves, then we're more likely to make the change.  I'm aware of it and now I need to do something about it.

The ironic part is that I'm in love with yoga.  It's been a big part of the healing process of changing my life for me.  Doing yoga every single day is not too big for me.  I've got this!

Returning to the Home Office: My View of Mother Nature

Beyond some of my more personal goals for the fall equinox, I also plan on accomplishing some of my business goals.  While I like to leave a few things to the imagination, my biggest business goal is to create a sponsorship program.

For the longest time, I struggled to fit in by trying to force myself to engage with social media and the more widely accepted business models.  After putting a lot of thought into it, that just isn't who I am or what I'm about.

There's nothing wrong if the traditional prototype works for your small business, it just doesn't seem to fit with who I am.  My focus is on writing!  I've found that the more I write, the more my readership views go up.  This has worked for me in the past and it works for me now.

How does this play into my developing a business model with sponsorship as the main focus?  Easy!  My goal is to keep my focus on small businesses that are ethical and green-friendly, with Etsy Shops and small bloggers as my friends.

In other words, I'd like my sponsored posts to be budget-friendly and affordable for smaller bloggers and small online shops.  I feel like it's really difficult for small niche bloggers and Etsy shops to gain recognition and make a name for themselves.  I should know because I've been in their shoes.

Working with me, they'll be able to practice an affordable marketing plan with in-post ads on their products, services, and eCommerce.  I feel like a lot of people started to do what everyone else is doing in my field, but some of us just want to get back to basics.

The catch is that I'll only continue to work with small businesses that are a natural fit for my brand.  If you're interested in promoting your lifestyle blog or handmade shop, head on over to my sponsorship page!

I'm looking for collaborations with green, ethical companies that are nature-friendly and promote a sustainable lifestyle.  For example, maybe you run a zero-waste blog or sell never leather products.

If you think you might be a good fit, I'd love to see our working relationship unfold organically.  I'm a big fan of working with real, down-to-earth people who care about animals and saving the planet.

When I return to the home office with my view of mother nature, my other goal is to work on my email newsletter since 40% of my readership comes from email marketing!  The other 60% comes from organic keywords and SEO marketing.   You can sign up for my newsletter here to get free tarot readings and secret messages from mermaids, unicorns, and goddess Freya!

I want to keep working on the things I care about and already do well to grow my business in magical ways!  If you'd like to work a magical spell to grow your business, try A Magical Spell With Plants to Make Your Spiritual Business Grow!

It works!  It pays to have fun while trying to manifest your dream business.  Sometimes even I need to take a more light-hearted approach to work.  It's easy to get bogged down by all the little details.

My Little Corner of the World in Florida

I'm definitely antsy to get back home to Florida.  On one hand, I feel like I have a neverending to-do list that I want to get done.  On the other hand, I can't wait to get back to my normal routine and lifestyle.  It was good to shake up my routine, but I'm ready to get back into my personal space, my little corner of the world.

I feel like I'm ready to get back to work and get back to my natural life.  With that comes my daily hiking routine in Hammock Park in Dunedin, Florida.  I've missed all the little woodland creatures and the nice people I meet in the park as we go birding, treasure hunting, or hiking.  It's going to feel good to be back in my natural habitat in the woods.

My little corner of the world in Florida will be bustling for a while as all the snowbirds arrive back in Florida for the magic of the holiday season as the weather cools down.  It's honestly the most magical time of the year to enjoy living in Florida!  What are your goals for the festive fall season?
