Life As a Solitary Green Witch!

Hi, I'm Laurali! I live in a tiny, seaside fishing village in Florida where I nurture my plants, go hiking in the woodland, and wear flowers in my hair.

A Radical Transformation With the Butterfly Maiden and Butterfly Fairies

I am going through a radical transformation with the butterfly maiden and butterfly fairies!  Lately, I have been seeing butterfly signs everywhere, where I include five transformational posts you won't want to miss.

I've always been attracted to butterflies.  I mean, you can just look around my site and see the truth in that.  Plus, who doesn't love butterflies?

Today, I really want to talk about how I've been receiving messages from the Hopi Butterfly Maiden informing me of a major overhaul in my life.  You can read more about what I've been going through and how I'm dealing with it in, Transitions: New Moons, Staying in Florida, and Moving to a New Home.

Today, after a long hike through Hammock Park to clear my head, I decided to take a long drive.  I kept going and going, past my turn off to go home, and what do I see?  A big sign that says monarch with a monarch butterfly on it!

This has been happening to me a lot lately, more than usual.  To the point where I can't help but take notice.

It's a nice day out, I had my windows rolled down, and all of a sudden it was clear to me what I needed to write about today.  It was the Hopi Native American Butterfly Maiden Kachina (spirit) and the butterfly fairies whom she works with on a daily basis!  Makes sense, right?

To be honest, I'm not feeling good today, mainly because, I'm doing a raw vegan body cleanse to reboot my system.  Honestly, because I didn't have any planned posts, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to write at all today or if I had the energy for it.  Luckily, Lady Butterfly came through for me.

Let's talk about the Butterfly Maiden, shall we?  She is a young Native American girl from the Hopi tribe.  What I've come to realize is that she's not just a kachina (spirit), she is elemental.

All of the legends I have read about her depict her as a young girl with butterflies all around her, butterflies in her hair, but at the end of the day, she's totally a nature spirit!  That's why it makes perfect sense to me that she works with the butterfly fairies.

This little spirit of the forest and butterfly gardens is in charge of bringing transformation, transition, great changes, and metamorphosis to your life!  If you are going through some big changes in your life, she's your girl.

I've always felt that butterflies were magical winged creatures, to begin with, but working with the American Indian Goddess of Fertility, really gives you a fresh outlook on the magical healing properties of the butterfly!  Butterflies are so powerful, in fact, that you can work spells with them.

A Radical Transformation With the Butterfly Maiden and Butterfly Fairies

I am moving in and out of form and changing again.  This happens to me every few years or so.  It happens to all of us.

We will change many times throughout our lives and that's where the kachina nature spirit of the elemental kingdom comes in!  She will help you through those changes seamlessly.  She will be of great comfort to you.

Let's face it, change is hard.  Why?  Because you are literally transforming from one person into the next.

Sometimes, it's our bodies that change, as it aligns with what is going on in our thoughts.  When we perform a full-body makeover, for example, we become more confident and exude self-love.

Other times, it's something outside of our bodies that needs to change.  We're moving to a new home or out of state.  We're starting a new job.  We're having a baby, getting married, or going through menopause.

Change is like a constant star in our lives.  We may not be able to count on anything else, but we can rest assured that change will always be there.

The butterfly maiden is there to remind us that change can be a good thing!  Maybe we lost our job.  What we can't see is that a better job is coming.

This is how metamorphosis works!  It's the cycle of life.  It's the turning seasons and the wheel of fortune.

I'll be honest with you, I don't do well with change.  I want to change and I like to always set goals and push myself past my limits.  But, change is scary!

However, in order to have new growth, things must change.  In my case, I've been stuck in a life cycle where nothing ever seems to change, no matter what I do.

This radical unexpected change of moving is going to help me make the necessary changes in my life for a better future.  I've been stuck in a rut of self-doubt and helplessness for so long, I can barely remember when it was good.

That all changes now, with the help of the Hopi Butterfly Maiden and her butterfly fairy tribe!  She is letting me know that she is with me and that even though it's a challenging time, I will get through to the other side.

When I make it through, I will become the butterfly woman that I was always meant to be!  You can read about, My Butterfly Transformation: Moving Forward Fearlessly, to see the changes being made.

My Butterfly Transformation Journey: From Caterpillar to Butterfly

If you haven't been reading my blog and this is your first time here, I wanted to explain a little about my butterfly transformation journey from caterpillar to butterfly!  Even if you are a loyal reader, keep reading, because there's a lot you don't know.

I've been feeling kinda stuck for a long time now.  I felt so trapped in myself that when an offer came along to go to Rhode Island for the summer with my mom and stepfather, I jumped at the chance!

I ended up being deathly ill the entire summer and had to live on prednisone to get through summer vacation.  The good news is that I changed a lot while I was there.

I was doing yoga every single day and I made amends with my daughters for some things that I said and did leading up to my near suicide attempt last year.  It turns out, when I don't have to worry about my safety and money, I do really well.

Then I came back to Florida and my life started crumbling all around me.  I wish I could say I'm through it, but I'm not.  I'm in the heart of a radical makeover and it's brutal.

However, I'm trying to take care of myself through all of this.  I go hiking almost every day.  I take long drives to clear my head, etc. etc.

I'm trying to be gentle with myself, but naturally, I'm overwhelmed with it all.  So, for the Hopi Butterfly Maiden to show up now, means the world to me!

I've been in a cocoon of my own making for a long, long time now.  I stopped dating years ago.  I've put my heart, soul, and my everything into the growth of my blog business, and there's been no payoff.

The only thing that keeps me going is sitting down at my computer every day and writing an article for my readers.  It gives my life meaning and purpose!

You can read more about how the Magic of Nature is my life purpose and blog niche here.  For me, it's not a matter of being lost or not knowing what I want to do with my life.  It's a matter of being able to support myself with it financially.

I have all these great ideas, but I'm so overwhelmed with everything, I find myself shutting down as a coping mechanism.  I find that it's difficult to know which ideas to follow!

So, I just keep writing and photographing nature while on hiking adventures, and that's it.  I haven't been reaching out to Etsy Shops for collaborations like I wanted to or implementing the changes I want to make.

I must confess, fear is a big factor in it.  It's scary to reach out to people, even small businesses and online worlds.

At the end of the day, I know it's more than that.  I know it's because I'm still stuck in a constant life cycle of self-doubt.

By now, you're probably wondering, how is this a butterfly transformation journey?  How is she going from a caterpillar to butterfly?

Here's the thing:  Even though I have those fears and self-doubt in the back of my mind, change isn't going to wait.  It says, ready or not here I come!

This has forced me to stand my ground, speak my truth, and believe in myself more than I ever have before.  I'm stronger than I think I am.  I'm only just now starting to feel myself becoming empowered to change.

Whether or not I like it, I am transforming into a butterfly!  It's an excruciatingly painful process to emerge from your cocoon, but slowly, a wing here and there, I'm doing it.

How to Work With Hopi Butterfly Maiden and Butterfly Fairies

Now that I know the Hopi Butterfly Maiden and the butterfly fairies are calling me, I definitely plan on answering their call!  I can't ignore this any longer.

Plus, I want to encourage you to spread your wings and fly just the same.  If you are going through tremendous growth and change, life transitions, or need a radical makeover, let the butterflies be your refuge.

First of all, if you can, visit a butterfly garden, like I did in this post about Hammock Park in Dunedin, Florida.  If you don't have access to a butterfly garden, then just take a long walk in mother nature to clear your head.

The maiden is a fairy elemental, so she'll meet you where you stand.  While you are walking or visiting the gardens, silently pour your heart out.

Tell the butterfly fairies and the kachina (spirit) about your troubles and strife.  Wear your heart on your sleeve and they will come to meet you halfway.

This is one of the main reasons I go hiking several days a week, even in the hottest days of summer.  I go there to have a heartfelt discussion with the nature spirits, Pan, the faerie queens, or whomever I feel connected to that day.  It's good for the soul.

If you don't have access to a park or woodland, you can always write a letter to the universe.  In this case, a letter to the butterfly maiden and butterfly fairies.  Bury it in the earth or in a garden and release it to the nature spirits.

Sometimes, when I'm in the park, I go deep into the forest and leave my letter there, usually with broken crystals or gemstone dust.  This is as an offering of thanks to the faerie folk.

Most of all, be aware of butterfly signs and meanings.  If you see them, help is on the way!  This means the butterflies are more than happy to help you through the twists and turns of life.

To invite the butterfly spirit into your life, bring butterfly imagery into your home, and especially in the bedroom.  Two butterflies in the bedroom will help you manifest a mate and true love.

Put butterfly stickers on your notebooks and binders, buy a butterfly bumper sticker, or wear butterfly inspired jewelry, like in this featured post, to welcome in the energy of the butterfly!  Remember, like attracts like.

Butterflies will be attracted to you by what you put out!  If you really want to connect with the butterfly world, why not use a butterfly kit?
