A Halloween Inspired Flat Lay Design With Orange Plastic Spider Toy, Sticks and Twigs, and a Candy Corn Painted Rock
Currently, it feels like the magic of Halloween and vegan pumpkin spiced lattes is in the air!  This weekend, I have plans to visit the pumpkin patch with my two youngest daughters, Veronica and Chloe, and my granddaughter Lillian.  I'm looking forward to taking cool pictures with gourds of every color and assortment and of course, drinking coffee, and pretending there's a crisp, fall breeze in the air (there isn't!)

It feels good to be back home in Florida and it feels even better to finally be coming out of this mood spell I've been in, which you can read in on my post about how nature is my therapy.  Even though I am home, my home situation is in flux, since the building I live in is being sold.

This has really made me think hard about what I want to do next in life and that might be fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine, moving to a cabin in the blue ridge mountains of North Carolina.  The only thing that's holding me back is leaving my family behind and that's a big thing.  But for now, I just want to live in the warm embrace of the moment.

Right now, I'm experiencing the magic of my favorite holiday, the magic of Halloween!  It doesn't matter how old I get, Halloween never stops being fun to me.  This season reminds me of vegan candied apples, popcorn balls, and of course, pumpkin spiced lattes!

I'm on the hunt to either find the perfect vegan pumpkin-spiced latte creation or to make my own.  I've already seen a couple of recipes I'm interested in, but honestly, I'm probably going to just make my own.  You can check out more of my recipes in the forage section of this site.  Enjoy!

With everything in flux right now with my home and living situation, you're probably wondering how I could even find the time to make a homemade vegan recipe.  The truth is, cooking, baking, and creating my own recipes grounds my energy.  It makes me feels safe, warm, and loved, as cheesy as that may sound.

I'm currently doing everything I can to raise my vibration and make myself feel better.  It turns out that the best way to do that is to embrace my inner child.  Halloween has always made me feel like a kid again, with my Halloween costume and bags of candy!

When I hit the trails, I find hidden treasures of painted rocks, plastic toy spiders and dinosaurs, and every now and then, I find stuffed animals, scented erasers, and colorful gemstones.  Lately, I've found painted rocks that go with the season.

A candy corn painted rock, a fall festive design, and coffee scented erasers.  It really feels like I'm trick or treating my way through the forest!  I imagine this weekend we'll take the stroller and take Lilly on a nature walk.

I want to teach my granddaughters about the beauty of nature and the grace of God.  I'll hand her some painted rocks to hide and if we find anything good, of course we'll let her keep it.  She's only one years old, so she's in that stage where babies put everything in their mouth.

This means we'll have to go out of our way to make the Halloween holiday safe as well as fun for her.  I think beyond the nature trail, she's really going to love all the colors of the pumpkin patch!  The most she'll do is try to pick up a pumpkin, which can only be adorable in my book.

Currently:  What I'm Listening To, Halloween Nostalgia, and Witchy Books

I'm currently watching, "Practical Magic!"  It's my all-time favorite movie and it always reminds me of Halloween and the magic of the fall season.  The music in it's great too!

I'm currently listening to the soundtrack to "Practical Magic" with the song "Crystal" by Stevie Nicks.  Honestly, what a great Halloween magic playlist!

I'm currently nostalgic over pumpkins and pumpkin-spiced lattes.  I guess everyone is though.  It kinda goes along with the territory of the season, doesn't it?

I'm currently reading witchy books to create spells this Halloween season.  I'm rereading "Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffman, which at this point, I think I see a recurring theme, haha!

You can read My Quest For True Love: Inspired by the Movie Practical Magic to get in the Halloween spirit and I guess, in this case, the spirit of love!  Thanks for reading. xoxo
