A Message From the Fairies: Please Don't Litter and Pick Up Trash

Today, I have a message from the fairies saying, please don't litter and pick up trash! For the past couple of months, I've been hitting the Pinellas Trail rather than hiking in the park and came to a huge realization. More people at home during the coronavirus means more people trashing up the environment!

It bothered me so much that I turned to the faerie folk for a tuned-in message. First of all, the fairies want you to know that they understand why you're doing what you do. They understand the chaos that has ensued from the pandemic.

However, the fairies want people to remember that when the chaos is over there's going to be a huge environmental mess to clean up. Fear and ego-based thoughts can't be an excuse to ruin the earth by throwing litter on the ground. We all have to stay true to our core beliefs!

I can't speak for other places, but Florida opened on an outdoor level long before other places began to follow suit. There's a lot of bikers, walkers, and rollerbladers that had time off from work and began to hit the trail. That's not the problem.

The problem came when these same outdoor enthusiasts began to run amok throwing trash on the ground, as well as not picking up trash after others. I even found myself walking by trash because there was nowhere in my immediate vicinity to throw it away, which is definitely not like me.

Luckily, I went to the park and got myself grounded in mother nature, and that's when spiritual messages were able to get through easier. There's something about the woodland setting that clears my mind, bringing the answers that I need with ease and grace.

Immediately, I felt grounded in my energy, rooted in my root chakra, and in control of my chaotic human nature again. Once I got my energy calm, cool, and collected, I began preparing a message from the fairies.

They want you to know they understand why you were afraid and that things were spinning out of control. They understand why you do the things you do. But, never let it be an excuse not to be kind to the environment.

First of all, lead by example and become the role model you wish to see in the world. The one thing I am really proud of is that you'll never see me throw trash on the ground. Even when I was a little girl I knew better than that.

The one thing I'm not proud of: Sometimes I even make up excuses why I can't pick up litter at the moment. If you think about it, there are always excuses to walk by a piece of trash without picking it up.

Maybe there's not a trash can or recycle bin nearby or maybe you have to go out of your way to throw garbage away. Whatever the reason is, know that excuses and reasons will always be there. You have to be better than your excuses!

Imagine a world where each person waited to throw away their garbage or recycled materials. Imagine a world where each person is doing their part. When you really think about it, one person can make a difference!

The fairies want you to know they appreciate your efforts, no matter how small. If each person were to pick up trash that is not their own, it would help clean up the environment.

Plastic bags are harmful to woodland creatures and marine life such as sea birds and protected sea turtles. In fact, single-use plastic is one of the worst culprits when it comes to endangering sea life and forest animals.

The most you can do with it is recycle it! That's a really good start, but it's not enough, and we have to look ahead for the future of our children and our planet. We have to show that we care!

The fey would like you to start with something simple. If you aren't already doing it, hold onto your trash until you get to a trash bin, a recycle bin, or wait till you can get to your car. In other words, clean up after yourself!

Next, if you take a morning hike, run, or bike ride, clean up after others! Not because it's your job., but because it's the right thing to do.

Whenever possible, recycle and practice composting as part of your new eco-friendly lifestyle! Eventually, try to aim to become as waste-free and green-friendly as humanly possible.

The nature spirits don't expect us mere mortals to be the pink of perfection, but they do expect us to do our part by reducing our carbon footprint. Do small things, like picking up trash daily, and you'll feel better about yourself!

Spread word of environmental cleanups to your children, readers (if you have a platform to speak out on), and your loved ones. Most of all, be a little green goddess by being an eco-friendly warrior and trailblazer!
