Life As a Solitary Green Witch!

Hi, I'm Laurali! I live in a tiny, seaside fishing village in Florida where I nurture my plants, go hiking in the woodland, and wear flowers in my hair.

At a Snail's Pace: Practicing Slow Living and Living Authentically!  In this guide, I will help you to get in touch with your authentic voice and living mindfully by practicing the art of living a slower life.

The slow living movement helps you to slow down and live more mindfully in a world that lives at a busy pace.  It's about you finding your own pace and making up your own set of rules as you go along.

If finding your true path in life sounds good to you, then keep reading!  This is a guide on how kinfolk style, slow living, and living authentically go hand-in-hand together.

So, what exactly does it mean to live authentically?  You hear this word thrown around a lot like it has a lot of weight and gravity.

I'm here to tell you that it does!  In short, living a more authentic life means living the way you want to live your life.  It's a journey that you take your time with, uncovering hidden gems and secret, hidden places as you go along.

It's something that you take your time within self-discovery and it often starts with looking within.  It goes back to the heart of the most basic questions in life.  What does my heart desire?

How many of us really sit down and ask this question?  It's about paring back our lives and revealing our most true, authentic self.  What do you really want out of life?

It's about simplifying your life and getting back to the elemental building blocks of life.  It always goes back to the most everyday mundane magic things in life and knowing what that means to you.

If you've gone through a dark night of the soul experience or are undergoing some kind of transformation, then you know that it always goes back to the drawing table.  What is my heart's fondest desire?

The simplicity of your answer might surprise you!  You might find that you would best live your best life by living in a rustic cabin in the hygge style heart of the forest.  You might find that you're absolutely happy where you and decide to enhance your living situation!

That's what living an authentic life is all about!  It's about finding your purpose and your place in the world and living it to the best of your ability.

For example, I started using my authentic voice when I started writing this blog.  You can read more about it in, The Simple Magic of Kinfolk Style Blogging and Working From Home!

Finding your own path in life is all part of living a slower lifestyle.  It helps you learn to be more patient, practice temperance, and find the middle ground in life.  It really melts away the fast-paced lifestyle we've become accustomed to in the modern age of technology.

In turn, we become more grounded in who we are.  For more grounding rituals and practices, here are 5-Tips for Grounding Your Energy On a Nature Walk!

Being grounded means knowing your life purpose and brings meaning to your life.  You'll feel more connected to living a heart-based lifestyle and being of service to others.

You'll become a pioneer in the world, making a difference just by living your life with authenticity.  We need more people to rise up in the world and be brave, living life with pure intent.

Imagine that you could be one of those people.  Visualize that you are already this person right now, today, at this moment.  You wearing a sundress and creating your own lifestyle design blueprint.

What is your heart's truest desire?  Write it down and build on it.  Following your heart is at the foundation of living a slower life.

Truthfully, there are so many milestones and markers to living the slow life that I can't possibly list them all.  In the end, it's all about finding the fairy-lighted pathway that works best for you!

I'm in love with slow living because I'm a free spirit that has always liked to do things her own way.  In order to finesse this talent for individuality, I added a little bit of trademark nature friendliness to it through kinfolk style living!

As an avid hiker and nature lover, spending time in the woodland has opened me up to a connection with the creatures of the forest that I might never have found.  Luckily, I had my vegan hiking boots on and a backpack filled with hope!

As a believer in animism, the concept of everything ensouled in the world, it was only a natural next step that I would feel a magical connection to the woodland creatures, great and small.  I never just see something as beneath me, even if I'm stepping on it like a stepping stone or wooden log to get to my next place on the hiking trail.

Everything has its place in the world, as do you!  Every tree branch, every green or golden leaf, and every white butterfly as it waves its wings like white flags of hope.

That's how special you are.  That's how important you are.  That's how much the world needs you to step into your power and find your place in it.

You can best do that through living authentically and speaking your truth.  You can best do that by practicing living mindfully through the snail pace of slow living, in whatever way that finds you.

Once you know who you are and where you're going, the rest becomes easy.  The universe will bow down its branches to support you on your spiritual journey into the woods.  It will even light up the way for you with fireflies and fairy lights to lead you to the magic of your own making.
