Have you ever walked the forest floor to discover there's an entire world hidden in plain sight? That's where the magical realism nature field guide (volume three) comes into play! It's here to show you the secret magic of the forest that was right under your nose all along.

There's a reason that I take morning walks in mother nature on the daily. Walking into the woodland makes me feel more alive than I ever have before! It usually ends up being a magical day, long after I leave the park behind. It's the kind of magic that sticks with you and follows you wherever you go

Whenever I'm in need of instant relief from something going on in my life, I always turn to mother Gaia earth for a soothing antiseptic kind of healing.  Imagine that you're having a bad day or maybe feeling a little under the weather.  

Now, imagine that you take a hike in the forest to relieve your stress.  What happens next?  Just being in the center of gravity brings instant holistic healing to your mind, body, soul, and heart.

Just being surrounded by mother nature and steeping in natural scenery can instantly turn your day around.  This is especially cooling for mood disorders, anxiety, and depression.  You can read more about in, Hiking For Mental Health, Well-being, and Overall Happiness!

There are a plethora of health benefits to going on daily hiking adventures!  One of my most favorite go-to methods for lifting my mood is to take a forest bath.

The Wonder of Forest Bathing: Shinrin-Yoku is where you meander through the forest slowly, taking your sweet time as you soak in the green leaves and oxygen from the trees.  This slow living practice forces you to slow down and take in your surroundings.

Some days, I do this accidentally.  I'll hit Fern Trail in Hammock Park in Dunedin, Florida and Slowly snap photographs of magical tree keyholes and portals into fairyland.  I love going on a Fern Trail Hiking Adventure whenever I practice the art of slow traveling.

It is on those days where everything feels timeless.  That is the ethereal effect the fairies have on humans when they are spending time in their domain.  The fey is known for making you lose time or feel timeless, only to find you've only been gone a short while!

Honestly, those days have become my most magical days as I ground my energy on a woodland photoshoot!  I love that I can just lie back in the green grass, snapping pictures, and watching the clouds float by making heart shapes.

I think its safe to say that we all probably spent a lot of time earthing when we were kids, which would have made correspondence with the faerie realm even easier back then.  There's a reason that fae love children and animals and part of that reason have to do with childhood magic and believing in fairies!

But, you don't have to be a kiddo to embrace the magical faerie realm as a grownup!  You don't even have to have kids to do it.  You just have to be receptive to the idea that there's more than meets the eye when you turn over a new leaf. 

Working with the nature spirits will be like a good habit that you build over time and space.  The more you do it, the better you'll get at it, and the deeper down the rabbit hole you'll go!

Plus, it's fun!  The fairies, like children and pets, are often all about having a good time while simultaneously healing green things.

The Magical Realism Nature Field Guide (Volume Three)

This volume of the magical realism nature field guide shifts the focus to wellness, with an emphasis on mental health and well-being.  I'm pretty open on my blog about some of the mental health issues that I've had and when I started this blog, I had just gotten out of the hospital for a near suicide attempt!

It was going on daily hiking adventures that saved my life.  It was the fun of forest photography that taught me how to live again.  It balanced my chakras and cleared my aura in a way that nothing else had.

That's why I recommend a heavy dose of time spent in mother nature, wherever you can find it!  It can be earthing in your backyard, with your hair spilling all around you or holding an aloe vera plant for twenty minutes.  Find whatever method works best for you!

Even though my focus here is on hitting forest trails and doing things like hiking, camping, and other types of outdoor recreation, it doesn't mean you have to stop there!  If you are lucky enough to live near the beach or ocean like I am, you could definitely benefit from working with mermaids and sea sprites!

Maybe you live in a desert oasis, like the area that I grew up in as a child in the Mojave Desert of Southern California.  If that's the case, you can work with the cactus plants and the desert fairies that live in your area and get to know them better.  You might even like to keep a moon cactus zen garden even if you don't live in a sandy substrate!

Live in the mountains?  Perfect!  Use the backdrop of pristine mountaintops to get a better view of the magic of nature that's right in front of you.  

Wherever you live, whatever you do, just be mindful of your surroundings and take your time walking through a canopy of leaves so you can get the full experience.  By the time you leave the wildlife refuge, you'll feel like a brand-new person!

In a pinch, you can even use plant allies to make an instant connection to mother nature.  For example, aloe vera plants have the same gentle healing energy as that of a rose quartz crystal or Archangel Raphael.  In fact, they often work together!

The biggest natural healing remedy in the world is spending time in mother nature!  It's up to you how that's done, whether it be holding a tiny succulent plant or taking a hike in the mountains.  

The most important thing is getting in the habit of doing it.  The flora and fauna is where healing naturally occurs, as even the air we breathe and the sunshine through the pines can dictate how we feel that day.

It's a matter of using the natural resources at our disposal and making the most of them.  The forest energy healing starts within.  It's about balancing the fragile eco-system of your heart.  You needn't look far to find your bloom!
